Claire takes down Pooh...

Just a few quick pictures of "sweet" Claire. She loves Pooh and took him down while they were playing the other day. It was super cute and I'm glad I got a few pictures. So many people tell us that they think she is going to have "quite the personality." What exactly does that mean? Hmmmmm...

Fall is Coming...

It is still blazing hot here in West Texas, but we were able to go to the Apple Butter Festival today to get a taste of some fall activity. Sadie had a great time picking apples, looking at the animals, and seeing her friend, Charleton.

Claire just looks like she is so ready to be up and going with the big kids, doesn't she? Or maybe she is just dreaming of apple pie and apple cobbler. I don't know, but I just love this picture. Definitely my favorite from the day.

They also had a petting zoo. Sadie's favorite animal was this little baby pig. I think she would have sat here all. day. She just loved him. We don't have any pets at home so she really doesn't usually do too well with animals, but she LOVED this pig. Don't get any ideas, though. We will not be getting a pet pig any time soon.

6-7 months and catching up...

I got way behind on blogging this summer so I have posted a few pictures to catch up a little, but I have a long way to go. At least I got Claire's pictures taken, they just didn't get posted. She is 8 months old, I just have to get those taken and posted by the 18th. We will see. Anyway, one picture made it from our trip to the Abilene zoo to feed the giraffes this summer. It was a quick up and back trip in a day, but it was fun to do right before school started. The first week has come and gone. We are all tired and the girls are taking a long nap this afternoon so I actually have time to post some pictures. Nice!

I don't know if you can tell from the pictures, but Claire is developing quite a personality. We think she has so much up in her little head just waiting to come out. She just babbles and babbles and goes after whatever she wants. She is crawling everywhere and pulled up on the couch this morning. Sadie was laying on the floor and before we knew it, Claire had a handful of her hair! We constantly hear Sadie saying, "Baby No! That's mine!" Fun times ahead!

Figuring it out...

Sadie has loved having a little bike since her birthday in October, but really has just sat on it while we pushed her around the yard. She hasn't even pushed the pedals or anything. Well about a week ago she started taking it on the sidewalk and before long she was riding it all by herself. Now she goes all around the block (with daddy close behind) Her favorite place to go is to the store to get a treat. (imagine that!) We took a few pictures and here she is.

10 Years!

Just wanted to say Happy Anniversary to my wonderful husband! We've been married 10 years today. I asked him if he would climb up in the attic (I know that's an awful thing to ask) to look for our wedding pictures so I could show them to Sadie to try to somewhat explain to her about our anniversary. He actually found them. We had fun looking back and remembering some fun times and laughing at some fun memories. Sadie said I looked like a princess. Today, I'm not quite sure if I want her to think that about getting married, but if I'm being honest, that was the look I was going for 10 years ago. We've done a lot of growing up these 10 years and I know there is a lot more to go, but I wouldn't want to do it with anyone else! I love you!

We love Daddy!

We sure do love our Daddy around here and he is awesome! I asked Sadie why she loves her daddy and at first she didn't quite understand the question, but when I started giving examples she said because he plays horsie and goes swimming. That's my translation anyway. Claire absolutely loves Gabe and nobody can quite get the same smile that Daddy can from her when she sees him. It is so sweet. We had a very busy Father's Day, but I didn't want it to get too far away without telling Gabe how much we love him. You really are the best!

Summer Fun!

I can't believe it's been almost a month since I've posted some pictures. It has been so nice to be relaxing with the family and enjoying being together. We've loved being able to go see family and really enjoyed being at home and getting some projects crossed off our lists. I just picked a few pictures to show some of the fun we've been having. We are so blessed to be off as a family during the summer and be together. We are also blessed by our jobs and our schedule the rest of the year too. I love to think about how God has worked his plan for us and I can't describe the peace I have knowing we are doing what he wants us to be doing. I pray that we will continue to follow Him.
