Fun times!

So I just wanted to post some pictures of Sadie lately. She has had a cold, which turned into pink eye, which has now turned into a double ear infection. Luckily my parents came to visit this weekend and were able to stay with her the past two days so we didn’t miss work. She seems to be doing better so we are hoping we are on the upside. We did get to feed the ducks a couple times and went to a friend’s birthday party. Hopefully we’ll get back in the picture taking mode before too long.

Happy Birthday Charelton!

We made it through the week!

We have had a busy week getting Sadie adjusted to her new schedule, but we have made it. She had a good Thursday at P.D.O. and I was more prepared. I posted a few other pictures of Sadie being Sadie that we’ve taken this week. She has a new love of paper products. Not really sure what that is all about, but she loves carrying around the package of paper plates and playing with the cups. She also loves pulling everything out of my purse and bringing it to me piece by piece. Gabe has a book that he has been reading for his classroom and Sadie has taken that up to. She will walk around the living room with the book open like she reading it talking away. Notice the title of the book in the picture. It’s pretty funny! We are loving her more and more everyday (if that is possible) and are excited about what is to come.

Here are Sadie's bags all ready for P.D.O. Wednesday night.

She is REALLy into this book.

The title is "Try and Make Me, for ages 2-12" :)

I just thought this picture was cute.

Here is Sadie with her new friend, Paper Plates. She carries them with her wherever she goes whenever she can get them.

Her is my sweet girl pulling everything out of my purse. Lovely!

Some more paper products. She loves the red cups. I wonder what that means...maybe she'll love picnics or will hate doing dishes. I'm going with the hate doing dishes!

One more picture with the red cups.

These are the days...

We have had a change in sitters for Sadie and this is her first week with a new schedule. We have a friend who is keeping her on M,W, and F and she is going to a Parent's Day Out at a church on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Well, this will be a story Sadie enjoys reading when she gets older.

Jenny has agreed to take Sadie to P.D.O. and pick her up since the hours are shorter than school hours and I am sooooo grateful. So, Gabe drops her off this morning at Jenny's house just as we had planned. Jenny calls Gabe after she drops her off and very nicely says that she didn't see a lunch bag in Sadie's things. Gabe calls me at work and says that we are supposed to provide lunch. I had no idea. So I told him I would figure it out and get lunch to her somehow. Well, I finished teaching my lesson and ran to Walmart. My assistant calls me when I am in Walmart and says that Gabe just called and he had it taken care of. So I call Gabe and ask him where he is and he says, "Walmart." I told him I was there to and he said he was getting a banana. I look up and there he is scrambling around to find some lunch for Sadie just like me. It was too funny! We got her a lunch and Gabe took it to her and I headed back to school.

Later on, I was telling a friend at school about it and she was telling me some of the things she sends with her daughter for lunch because P.D.O.'s don't provide lunch- which I guess is common knowledge. She said that she doesn't send milk because they don't usually refrigerate things. What did I send with Sadie? Milk. She was also telling me about how she has a bag for her that she puts all of her things in like her lunch and her blanket. Guess what? I didn't send a blanket either! So, Sadie's first day consisted of a warm thrown together lunch from Walmart, warm milk, and a nap with no blanket. I'm so glad I have a couple years that she won't remember so I have a chance to learn some of this stuff. It didn't seem to bother her too much. She was the same happy girl she always is and Jenny said she did great. She even got a smiley face stamp on her hand.
