3 months!

We have made it three months and one month with both of us working. Whew! Let me take a deep breath while I have a minute. Gabe and I have a phrase that we say a lot. "It is what it is." So true for so many things and especially our life right now. If someone shows up unexpectedly at our house, or even if we are expecting them, we just say, "it is what it is" about the shape the house is in. If the girls didn't get bathed one night they were supposed to we say, "it is what it is" and put them to bed. If we are too tired from working all day to cook and we end up eating out..."it is what it is." I can say that even with how crazy things seem right now it is the best feeling in the world to have 2 healthy little girls who know they are loved and love us back!

On to the girls...Claire is doing great. She is growing and growing. She keeps getting longer so she is not real chuncky, but does have those cute baby rolls on her legs. She is "talking" more and more and has started squealing some too. She loves to reach for her animals. She also loves to watch her big sister. They talk to each other already and it is so cute to watch. When Claire starts babbling we tell Sadie, "She's talking to you." So, when Sadie lays down beside her she says to Claire, "She's talking to you." So cute! I am a little late getting the 3 month pictures up, but hopefully that's not a sign of things to come. Only 9 weeks til summer!

Spring Break

Well, family trips are a little more complicated these days. I came to this realization many times last week, but especially when I was getting ready to blog and realized how few pictures I had of Claire. We spent a few days of spring break in Ruidoso with our friends Fred and Alisona and their son Ian. We had a great time and really enjoyed getting away. The mountains are beautiful.

A little shopping

Of course Sadie had some ice cream.

We ate at our favorite pizza place.

...and enjoyed some snow. (Notice why Sadie's first haircut was as soon as we got back in town.)

Sadie's first haircut

We took Sadie for her first haircut today. She cried through the whole thing, but was trying so hard to hold it together for her treat. She requested a "lello cookie." (yellow cookie)

Waiting for our turn.

Running out of Excuses...

I have to say that exercising just has not been on my priority list the past couple weeks. I have told some friends that when it comes to choosing between running and sleeping, sleeping is winning. Hopefully, I will be getting a little more motivated since our DOUBLE jogging stroller has arrived. We shopped and shopped for one that was affordable and practical and I think we picked a good one. Sadie and Claire are probably not going to have any interest in running and think we were crazy for waking up early on Saturdays and buying wierd looking contraptions so that we could all go together. Oh well, all kids think their parents are a little crazy at some point right?

Going on our first walk. I just love the little seat in back. Claire slept great.

Out on a walk. We are looking for a sun shade for Claire or at least a sun hat.

How long do you thinki before they are fighting over who gets to sit in front?
