I'm not sure if everyone would consider this a project, but I decided to for the sake of a blog title. Last week we got a package from Nana and inside was this great inflatable swimming pool with two slides. The girls didn't know what it was since it was all folded up in the box, but were very excited just the same. Gabe decided to gather up all the extra air he had today and blow it up. We tried to use an air pump, but didn't have the nozzle. Once we had gotten it out of the box, there was no turning back. Two little girls wanted a swimming pool. They watched him blow and blow and blow. The girls had a great time playing. Claire is still not quite sure of the water so she stood on the side and played, but Sadie quickly figured out the slide.

Our Weekend Project!
Summer has begun and we are excited! We even completed our first summer project today! Actually, Gabe put it together and I "documented" for the blog. The girls love to be outside and we saw this cute picnic table at World Market that we could not pass up. It was completed right about lunch time today so lunch and dinner were both eaten outside. Sadie even woke up from her nap saying she needed some food to eat at the picnic table. We'll see what other projects we get done... we're off to a good start.

Easter pictures
Here are a few the pictures we attempted to take on Easter. Trying to get some of the girls after lunch did not prove to be a good idea. It was great to have Nana and Big Daddy here for the week and to celebrate Easter with them.
They are both sitting down and looking in the general direction of the camera. I call that a success.
Spring time!
Warmer weather means that the Gillespies are outside and burning some energy. We are loving our warm weather and Gabe is getting year 3 of our garden going. Somehow it has expanded every year, but I can't complain. He grows some great veggies. Summer is two weeks away which is another reason there is lots of excitement around our house. We are looking forward to some good family time and a lot more playing outside!
The Gillespie Garden- Year 3. These pictures are already outdated. Tiny sqash plants have already come up in the back and we have tiny tomatoes in the front.
Nana sent a great water toy for the girls. They love it!

Happy Mother's Day!
What a great Mother's Day! I have an awesome family that loves me more than I can believe. I love hearing Sadie say, "Mama, I love you." Sometimes I think she says it when she doesn't have anything else to say because she will say, "Mama?" I say, "Yes" and she pauses and says, "I love you!" Doesn't bother me. I love coming home from work or coming in after being gone and the girls run to me saying, "Mama!" I love their hugs and kisses! I also recognize that our family is as awesome as it is because of my wonderful husband. He really keeps us going. It can get crazy around our house these days with everything we have going on, but he keeps our focus where it needs to be. He did a great job with Mother's day too!
I woke up to flowers on the table and a breakfast casserole. (of course with bacon, which is probably my favorite food.) Sunday is my morning to sleep in (8:00) so that was in his favor too. After church we had a nice lunch and after naps we headed to the store to continue our tradition of planting flowers on Mother's Day. We got enough to plant some around our tree in the backyard and everyone joined in. Each in there own way of course. It was in the 90's today so the girls played in the water for a little while. (That's why they are in swimming suits)
